ARTIST'S STATEMENT

"As a landscape photographer, my goal is to convey my personal vision of the natural world.

Beyond the technical aspects of photography, the challenge is to capture a composition of my chosen subject at the ideal moment when the natural light will help me realise this vision.

In pursuit of my goal, I have photographed in Europe and the Americas for many years now, and have witnessed some wonderful lighting conditions, from the crisp clarity of the desert atmosphere in the western USA, to the dramatically changing light in the wild landscape of Patagonia or Iceland, to the soft diffused light of autumnal England."

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

"I'm very happy with both of the prints and I believe that Ristikallio is outstanding. It's a picture that I wish I had taken myself and a big recommendation to go large format. The colours are luminous and I hope that the framing will do it justice. A masterpiece of a photograph."

PRESS AND INTERNET

"A British photographer with great talent."

"Arches National Monument in Utah is one of the most photographed landmarks in America. Sadly, its mighty edifices are often photographed from the wrong angle, and at the wrong time of day. Not so Mark Sunderland's superb study... Moody clouds enhance the early morning scene captured on punchy Fuji Velvia transparency film."

Practical Photography

"Mark ... has plenty of impressive images to show for his hard graft. The site is a great balance between design and content, with shades of grey complementing the colourful landscapes - great stuff."
